Introduction

Welcome to Renton Community Church's Pursuit Source series. In today's study, we delve into Day 15 where we explore how Jesus satisfies the law of God. Join us as we discover the profound meaning and significance of this truth.

The Law of God

In the foundation of our faith, we find the law of God – a set of guidelines and commandments that govern our lives. God's perfect law is just and righteous, revealing His character and will for us. It sets the standard for moral conduct, showing us the difference between right and wrong.

The State of Humanity

However, as humans, we have all fallen short of God's perfect law. Despite our best efforts, we find ourselves incapable of fully satisfying its requirements. This reality has left us separated from God, in need of a Savior.

Jesus: The Fulfillment of the Law

In God's infinite wisdom and love, He sent Jesus Christ into the world to fulfill the law on our behalf. Through His perfect life and sacrificial death, Jesus became the embodiment of God's law. He satisfied every righteous demand, offering us a way to reconcile with God.

Grace and Redemption

Through faith in Jesus and His finished work, we are no longer bound by the condemnation of the law. Grace washes away our sins, and we are redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ. This gift of salvation is freely available to all who believe.

Living in Freedom

As believers, we are now called to live in the freedom that Jesus has secured for us. Though the law continues to reveal God's standard of righteousness, we are no longer under its condemnation. Instead, we follow Jesus's example, guided by the Holy Spirit, and empowered to live a life that aligns with God's will.

Application in Our Lives

Understanding how Jesus satisfies the law of God impacts every aspect of our lives. We are called to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. Through our actions, we embody the fulfillment of God's law, shining His light in a world desperately in need of redemption. By living out the principles Jesus taught, we become a living testament to His grace and love.
